Day 8 Update
Day 8 Happy Henry Round Britain Challenge for Pancreatic Cancer Action
Once again the weather is the biggest challenge. Henry is now dried out but it's out with the battery powered PA system for safety as Andy performs at the Welland Steam Fair, near Malvern today.
The team have now covered over 350 miles, or around 10% of their journey.
...
Communications have been a big problem with poor wifi and telephone signals.
The day before yesterday Henry, Andy, Richard and Paddy met up with Nick Williams and his little Morris in the village of Leintwardine. Nick's car is reputed to be the fastest pre-war Morris on the roads and after going out for a spin in it at 70mph. Andy certainly agreed.
Last night Andy and the crew stayed in a glorious spot near great Budworth. Belmont Hall Camping. The owner lost his wife to pancan and let us stay free which was really appreciated. They've a website www.belmontcamping.co.uk so why not check them out? Also a great pub nearby 'The Cock' where we were made most welcome.
Finally a big mention to Richard who has been doing a sterling job as backup crew driving the camper van. Richard is the first of several backup crew who will be assisting as Andy and Paddy continue their epic 3000 mile adventure.
More news soon.
